I AM KELSEY.
Born and raised in Uniontown PA, I have always excelled in human interaction. Being a girl with the love of traveling, experiencing new things, and making an impact in the world, I have always been ready for any challenges life has thrown my way. Diversity in the world is something that I have always admired, which makes the Public Relations field my dream career.
After graduation in May 2017, I plan to be the best fit candidate because I am always ready to take on new challenges and be molded into the type of person the position would need me to be, without losing sight of my personal creativity. Hard-work, dedication, passion, teamwork, and knowledge are all parts of a skill set that is hard to come by, and I plan to continuously incorporate those skills throughout my career.
Working with diverse individuals every day is a passion and I look forward to continuously learning more from each personal interaction every day. After being an intern at Butler Health System in their PR department, I learned that every day there is a different task in this field, and every day you need to take on those tasks courageously, and confidently.
After these four years of studies at Slippery Rock University, I will be graduating with a Bachelors of Science degree in Communications, specializing in Public Relations. With the skill set I have learned throughout all of my experiences in the major, including studying abroad in London, I have been able to transfer my skills in all of my other extra-curricular activities. Holding executive board positions in my sorority Phi Sigma Sigma and also being the crew president of Love Your Melon at our school has given me an abundance of leadership experience beyond what I have learned in the classroom.
WHAT IS NEXT FOR ME?
In May 2017 I will be relocating to Allison Park with the ultimate goal of beginning my career in Pittsburgh so that I can provide my insight on how public relations, the media, and good graphic designs can influence how we see the world and shape every choice we make.
